"This is one of the profound moral issues of our time," said Jackson, adding he was in touch with members of the Florida legislature to try to get them to intervene.

"We ask today for some hard hearts to be softened up."

But last-ditch action by state lawmakers appeared highly unlikely after a flurry of efforts by supporters of the Schindlers failed to get a reversal of the state court order for Schiavo's feeding tube to be removed.

The convicted sex offender who officials say confessed to killing a nine-year old girl was denied bond today on murder and other charges.

John Couey was charged yesterday with capital murder, battery, kidnapping and sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.

Citrus County Sheriff Jeff Dawsy says Couey was under the influence of drugs and authorities may never know how long the girl was held before she was killed.

Officials say Couey confessed to kidnapping and killing Jessica who was last seen February 23rd when she went to bed.

Now what is going to really piss me off is this.. This sick fucker confessed to killing Jessica (asphyxiated). He needs to no trial (HE CONFESSED). The Judge needs to sentence him to die. Then they need to immediately kill this man. But no! This motherfucker will sit on death row for 5-7 years exhausting ALL Appeals before he dies. He will lie on a table, feel a small prick & go to sleep. Jessica did not have that option. I believe in innocent until proven guilty (presumption of innocence) up until you openly confess to a crime. At the moment of confession, the guilty party looses all appeals and his sentence is carried out immediately. Period! Some left winged titty-baby will feel sorry for this puke and 5 years from now he may or may not be executed.

Hopefully the State of Florida will see swift and powerful justice on this one. We shall see.

Legislation filed by Rep. Al Edwards would put an end to "sexually suggestive" performances at athletic events and other extracurricular competitions.

"It's just too sexually oriented, you know, the way they're shaking their behinds and going on, breaking it down," said Edwards, a 26-year veteran of the Texas House. "And then we say to them, 'don't get involved in sex unless it's marriage or love, it's dangerous out there' and yet the teachers and directors are helping them go through those kind of gyrations."

Under Edwards' bill, if a school district knowingly permits such a performance, funds from the state would be reduced in an amount to be determined by the education commissioner.

Scott Peterson should be executed for murdering his pregnant wife and unborn son, a judge ruled this morning at the Modesto man’s formal sentencing.

After rejecting Peterson’s request for a new trial, Judge Alfred Delucchi upheld a jury’s December recommendation that the fertilizer salesman die by lethal injection.

Man Dies After Winning Tequila Shot Contest

Before you start the hate mail to me let me clear up a couple of things.

I do not in any way approve of her or any teacher forcing herself/himself on any child. PERIOD. She is in a position of power and infleuence where the kids are concerned. She needs to be severly punished if she used her position to force these kids to have sex with her. That is wrong and for that see needs to serve some hard time. Assuming there was no foul play and this was just a hot, steamy, sex thing.. I pose to you this question... The teacher should ultimately stop, but.. Lets say a 15, 16, 17 yearold hormone raging boy gets into a position where he can have sex with an older woman (his teacher, the naughty teacher fantasy), do you think there is going to be any hesitation on his part? Heck no. What a feather in his cap. Man, I just got me some of Mrs. Blah the math teacher. It could be a mutual turn on for the boy & the teacher (older woman / young man) .. So in the heat of "battle" who is ultimately at fault if it is just a hot sex session? The teacher is ultimatley at fault because he/she is an adult and is supposed to know better(that is what the law says), what about the boy/girl student? Why doesn't anybody question or hold them accountable?

Afterall, how many stories go unreported about this very same act occuring say in the workplace, soccer leauge, or at the mall? These stories get all of the press because they are teacher-student relationships..

Again, if the positon is used as infleuence or to manipulate the kids into having sex then lock there ass up for a long time.

My question is this, if it is a mutual "agreement" between woman & young man where there was no infleuence or forced participation then why do you never hear the other-half of the story?

Fat Lazy People

I was at a local store the other day & I got highly pissed off at this very fat man who was slowly waddling through the store. This guy was huge! He blocked the entire asile. I mean you had no chance to get by him & you damn sure couldn't move him.

This guy was on the frozen food asile and appparently he was dreaming of pizzas (note: plural).. Nobody could get passed him... Did he care? Hell no. He was only concerned about pizzas. He stayed there 20min or so & then waddled off.

I finished my shopping and after I checked out low-and-behold this fat motherfucker was parked in a handicapped spot. Ok, he is a rude, glutenous, fat, fucking pig.. But, to take a handicap spot because you can't stop fucking eating is self-centered, inconsiderate & just plain lazy. What if a truly handicapped person needed that spot? They'd of been screwed 'cause porky had it. Thinking back, I should have gone over to him & verbally assaulted him.

**Handicapped parking spaces are for handicap people. What is so difficult to understand about that? There are allot of people to blame (the goons that give the handicap parking permits, the police for allowing it, people, like myself, for not making it known that this pisses us off) for this problem.. Just because you are fat does not mean that you are handicapped. Guess what? You need to park as far from the store as you can. Why? You need to walk!

Teenager GUILTY of Murdering his Grandparents

On Nov. 28, 2001, Christopher was angry with his paternal grandparents because they punished him for an incident on a school bus the previous day.

Christopher told police that he pumped birdshot through his grandfather's open mouth. He shot Joy Pittman in the side of the head. A forensic pathologist testified that both victims were dead before Christopher set a fire that consumed the Pittman's modest home in rural South Carolina.

Christopher's lawyers blamed an adverse reaction to Zoloft for making Christopher manic and psychotic. The defense tried to establish that everything Christopher did, said or failed to do was either misinterpreted, someone else's fault or the result of an adverse reaction to the antidepressant.

Christopher was sentenced to 30 years for each of the killings, to run concurrently.

OK, the kid was pissed that his grandparents where punishing him for getting in trouble on the school bus. Prosecuters say Chris had an "intense dislike for being disciplined." So, what does he do? Why is it that drivers in Georgia can not grasp the concept of merging onto interstates? The concept is stated very clearly in the Georgia Drivers manaul (page #58 - "on the accerleration lane, you can pace your speed to the speed of the expressway traffic". Why the hell do people merge onto the interstate at 30mph and then accelerate? These people are STUPID and need to be forbidden from driving! How good would it feel to just ram them? I mean knock there ass right off of the road.

Fear Factor "Viewer" Sues?

Austin Aitken said he watches "Fear Factor" often and had no problem with past episodes in which the reality show's contestants ate things like worms and insects in pursuit of a $50,000 prize.

But the Cleveland man said showing people eating rats mixed in a blender was degrading to the contestants and the viewers.

Aitken's handwritten lawsuit contends the rat-eating made his blood pressure rise, making him dizzy and lightheaded.

A large black ball, originally designed by Swedish scientists for use on Mars, could be the latest weapon in the war against burglars.

The device, developed at the University of Uppsala, acts as a high-tech security guard capable of detecting an intruder thanks to either radar or infra-red sensors. Once alerted, it can summon help, sound an alarm or pursue the intruders, taking pictures.

It is capable of travelling at 20mph, somewhat faster than a human being. Even worse for intruders, the robot ball can still give chase over mud, snow and water.

The ball relies on an internal pendulum to control its motion which, when shifted, changes the centre of gravity and starts it rolling.

Other devices, including microphones, cameras, heat sensors and smoke detectors are mounted on its central axis.

Nils Hulth, co-founder of Rotundus, the company which is marketing the ball, said it was especially well-suited to patrolling perimeter fences.

The prototype, just under 2ft in diameter, weighs about 10lb. "It is extremely light, which is why it moves so fast," Mr Hulth said.

While the current version can only raise the alarm, it could be adapted to corner an intruder if the customer wanted, Mr Hulth added.

Patrick Mercer, the Tory MP who is campaigning to give people greater rights to defend their property against burglars, thought the robot ball could have potential: "It would be interesting to see whether the ball had used grossly disproportionate force or whether it would be deemed reasonable.

Man dies testing Bulletproof Vest

A man whose friends initially said he was killed by gunfire outside a Gary liquor store actually died after he donned what he thought was a bulletproof vest and asked a cohort to shoot him.

A friend then shot Daniel Wright with a .20-gauge shotgun, but it turned out the vest Wright had put on Thursday was a flak jacket not designed to stop a bullet.

Wright, 20, was mortally wounded in the shooting and died later at a Gary hospital after two of his friends drove him there.

Second Lieutenant Ilario G. Pantano charged Feb. 1 with premeditated murder in connection with the April 15, 2004, shooting incident, claims one of the men he shot appeared to be preparing to attack the Marines or detonate nearby explosives.

The platoon Pantano commanded had been ordered to search a suspected terrorist hide-out south of Baghdad last April. After finding weapons, ammunition and bomb-making material in the building, the Marines saw two men fleeing in a sport utility vehicle, Gittens said, according to the wire report.

The Marines shot out the vehicles tires and took two Iraqi men into custody, ordering them to search for booby traps and secret compartments in the vehicle by ripping out its interior and seats, Gittens told Reuters.

Then, according to Gittens, one of the suspects turned suddenly toward Pantano "as if to attack." When Pantano ordered them to stop, they kept moving toward him, Gittens said.

Pantano "thought he was in danger and he fired and he killed them and that's what we do to terrorists who don't listen to orders. ... It's a combat situation, kill or be killed," the attorney told Reuters.

Since Bettman shut down the league Sept. 16, at the start of training camp, the issue has been the same: the owners want a salary cap and a fixed relationship between revenue and payroll. The players say they will not accept a cap but have offered a 24 percent salary rollback among other concessions to help owners curtail spending.

Union Pukes Again!

Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (@ Toyota) is demanding female workers with menstrual pain be granted access to an extra 12 paid days off a year. This is in additon to their existing sick leave provisions.

Apart from menstrual leave, the list of 600 demands includes claims for employer-provided child care, 10 per cent pay rises each year for the next three years and superannuation payments of 15 per cent by 2007.

It is a problem at that particular workplace and it's causing women to use other kinds of leave because they can't do the heavy manufacturing work that is required to be done during that time of the month.

Yesterday, I commented about how unions always want more pay, time off and do less work all while getting paid premium pay. This is a perfect example. 12 days a year off because of "periods". OK, I am sure there are a few cases of where time off would be justified, BUT... this is 12 days that will be abused (used as extended off days or vacation) at the companys expense. Just as sick leave is today..

600 demands.. What the Hell?? Company paid child care, yearly raises, etc... The union mentality is that the company owes them something. I'd like to see Toyota in a position where they could say, you want time off for periods.. BAM! Plant closed. Just as Walmart did in Canada.

As far as not being able to do their jobs during their period. If you can't do the job you are paid to do, look elsewhere.. Afterall, "menstruation is not a sickness, it is just simply part of being a woman".

"Some women unfortunately suffer greatly with problems with menstruation and some women just seem to work through them." This does not mean that the company owes ALL women time off. If you can document there is a severe problem then maybe some light duty work or time off without pay.. But, 12 "free" days a year. PLEASE!

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Wednesday it will close a Canadian store whose workers are on the verge of becoming the first ever to win a union contract from the world's biggest retailer.

Wal-Mart said it was shuttering the store in Jonquiere, Quebec, in response to unreasonable demands from union negotiators, which would make it impossible for the store to sustain its business. The United Food & Commercial Workers Canada last week asked Quebec labor officials to appoint a mediator, saying that negotiations had reached an impasse.

The closest a U.S. union has ever come to winning a battle with Wal-Mart was in 2000, at a store in Jacksonville, Texas. In that store, 11 workers -- all members of the store's meatpacking department -- voted to join and be represented by the UFCW.

That effort failed when WalMart eliminated the job of meatcutter companywide, and moved away from in-store meatcutting to stocking only prewrapped meat.

Unions always want to be the highest paid with the best benefits and easiest work rules. I applaud Walmart for taking a stand and saying you want to be unionized.. BAM! Store closed! Go work somewhere else. If unions are successful in getting their ugly, greedy, life sucking feet into Walmart, then Walmart will no longer be able to provide goods at the lowest price. Why? because some union puke will be making 300% more than he needs to be, to say, mop the floors.. The increase in his pay will be placed directly on the shoulders of the customer as prices go up to offset his pay (ie.. make it impossible for the store to sustain its business).

Look at the aviation industry, unions (ie.. labor) & fuel prices are the 2 biggest factors in the billions of dollars lost in 2004. A phrase used by unions a year or so ago was "top pay to the last day"! It think that says it all. One group within a company that said, screw you all, if we don't keep our pay the whole company goes down. 80K employees in the hands of 8K union pukes.

I think that people should have the right to enter organized labor, if they so choose.

I believe that a company has right to say, we don't want it. Just as Walmart did in Canada.

Marine 1st Sergeant Brad Kasal sacrificed his own safety to
save a room full of fellow Marines. He ended up taking several AK rounds in the leg. Most of his lower leg was blown away. He took rounds in the back which his armor saved him from. He took one round through his butt which passed through both cheeks leaving 4 holes in him. And he also took the brunt of a grenade blast. He jumped on top of a younger Marine to cover him from the fire. He killed the terrorist who did most of the damage to him and his men, and despite a massive loss of blood, he never stopped fighting.

He has been put in for the Medal of Honor for his actions on that day.

He already has several Purple Hearts for previous battles throughout his career and he has turned some down so that he could stay with his unit.

While in the hospital he has met President Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and several other celebrities. He said that President Bush came in by himself and had a very long, sincere, and friendly visit with him.

Yates' Murder Convictions Overturned

Do you remember this woman? June 20, 2001 She drowned all of her children in her bathtub in her house. This bitch confessed and I quote from CNN, "Yates confessed to police that she drowned her children in a bathtub because she had been a bad mother who hopelessly damaged them."

Now, Yates' may walk away because "Dr. Park Dietz, presented false testimony when he said Yates may have been influenced by an episode of the "Law & Order" television program. Such an episode did not exist."

He suggested that Yates may have been inspired to kill her children because of the show.

In its appeals, the defense said it contacted the producers of the show, who said such an episode was never shown.

The appeals court ruling reversed "the trial court's judgment" and remanded the case for further proceedings, the ruling said. Yates' lawyers could ask that their client receive bail pending a new trial.

The prosecution may ask a higher court, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, to overturn the decision from the Texas 1st Court of Appeals.

San Francisco Considers Handgun Ban

The city that bucked state law and sanctioned gay marriage is now taking aim at the constitutional right to bear arms by proposing a ban in San Francisco on private ownership of all handguns.

"When you get guns out of people's homes and off the streets, it means that that gun is not going to be used in a shooting that kills someone, whether a murder or an accidental shooting," said Chris Daly, supervisor of San Francisco.

San Francisco officials are pushing a ballot measure to prohibit just about everyone who isn't a cop, security guard or member of the military from having a handgun in their home or office.

Opponents are already planning lawsuits, but argue that even if it does pass, this ban won't stop crime as law-abiding citizens give up their guns while the criminals flock to a city that ensures they won't be shot at by the people they're robbing.

US Airways Asks Workers to Work for Free

Bankrupt US Airways on Wednesday said it is asking nonunion employees who are not scheduled to work over the New Year's weekend to volunteer to work for free at its Philadelphia operations.

The company, which is seeking concessions from the union representing mechanics and baggage handlers, has asked for employees to volunteer at Philadelphia from Dec. 30 to Jan. 3. US Airways said the problems stemmed from flight attendants and baggage handlers calling in sick at about three times the normal rate.
